I need a free wiring diagram for a 1998 chevy blazer. I was changeing the fuel pump in my daughters 1998 chevy blazer. i knocked the gass tank off the jack before I could get all the wires unhooked. The wires were pulled from the plug. The fuel pump has 2 connectors, a 4 wire and a 3 wire. I have found the diagram for the 4 wire but haven't been able to find anything on the 3 wire connector. It has a black/with a white stripe, a green, and a gray wire. I need to know what order they should be wired back into the connector. It's for the presure sensor.

Hello. Your Chevy's fuel pump assembly color code wiring should be grey (power) black (ground) purple (fuel level) and orange (low fuel warning). To check, attain a 12 volt test light and probe the wires one by one as an assistant turns the switch on and off without engaging the starter. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.
I don't think you can on that vehicle-probably not a code, anyway. Check the fuel pump relay, it may be stuck on. Should be located in the power distribution box under hood. Pull it out-pump should stop-swap in a different relay to test. If pump still runs on with new relay, the wiring to the relay needs checked.
The fuel pump assembly consists of fuel pump relay, fuel sensor, the fuel pump controlling fuse, its ECM B fuse.
The fuel pump and oil pressure switch.

This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.
It is in the fuel tank,of course the fuel tank will have to be removed to access the fuel pump, this can be done by removing the filler tube from the fuel tank, and removing the straps that hold the tank up in the vehicle.Use a jack, and have someone help you lower the tank enough to remove the wire harness connector, and the fuel lines, then lower the tank, with help, down, and out from under the vehicle. Then remove the retaining ring with a brass punch and hammer,it turns counter clock wise, and the unit just lifts out, mark it ,so it will be easy to align when installing the new pump assembely. If this was at all helpful, please rate, and thank you.
You must drop the fuel tank its inside the tank.once you have tank down you will see a large round ring it has to be turned to be able to remove the fuel pump. reverse installation.
did you recently change the fuel pump? If so you needed to change the wire harness thats attached to the fuel pump, then if not, your floater need to be replaced inside your fuel tank.
How do I know? from experience.
