I have a problem with the brake litesthe shifter does not come out of parkand now it wont start. The starter and battery sound strong just wont turn over could they all be connected with the brake pedle (all fuses have been checked and are fine)

I can't help much w/o year--make--model? Do you have a security system on this vehicle?
Most starters have two voltage circuits, one comes from the battery, hot all the time. The other circuit goes hot with key in the start position, may be wired through neutral switch, depending on the tranny, maybe you have a starter relay? The starter motor usually grounds through the engine block. The fact you can jump the starter motor and it cranks, sounds like the ground is ok. Use a test light, check for voltage on those two voltage terminals. Make sure tranny is out of gear and parking brake is set.
Some makes and models have shift-interlock, you can't shift it unless you step on the brake. Do the brake lites work? If not fix that first.
Some makes and models have a shift-interlock bypass button so you can press the button, then shift into neutral. Parking brake set.

The battery is so dead that a jumper will not have the amps to start the car. The clicking sound is from the starter trying to turn. First I would go a head and replace the battery with one you no to be fully charged and try again.

Try the lights to see if battery is working. Also try starting it in neutral instead of park. This checks the Park/neutral safety switch on the transmission. If it starts in neutral, it may just need the shifter cable adjusted. If not then the switch is bad.If battery is strong, you need to test for a start signal at the starter while in the cranking position. If you have power at the signal wire, and the battery/cables are ok, the starter is out.

Sounds like ign tumbler or ign switch is bad? If it wont come out of park checkto make sure brake lights are working if no could be brake light swicth which controls the shift interlock which if not working will not allow the shifter to come out of park.

there should be a relay called "neutral/park relay" in relay box. If it is broken or if it cant get electrical signal from your brake pedal or shifter, it wont allow you to start car.

find that relay, remove it, check it by supplying power to pins numbered 85 and 86 and try to hear instant click sound. if no sound relay is broken.

if relay is ok you need to check for wires coming from shifter and brake pedal switches.

My guess would be a switch (park interlock, brake interlock, etc.), a main fuse (located under the hood), or a starter solenoid. One easy check is to turn the key to start and simultaneously wiggle the shifter or pull it in to the Neutral position.

it sounds like a neutral safety switch try wiggling on the steering wheel or the gear shifter while trying to start it

while you state the battery is "strong" what kind of voltage are you getting to the starter solenoid

This problem is usually caused by a failing neutral safety switch. Try moving the shifter when it is dead. Will it start in neutral? Move the shifter while trying to start (foot on brake!)

Check for a weak battery by load testing it,or have it load tested.A load tester is a specific tool for checking battery strength.Another not so accurate method is to turn on the headlights.If the headlights are really dim,then the battery is almost discharged.If the healdights are strong,then the battery is probably pretty strong.If the battery checks out,likely a bad starter,or starter solenoid.Good luck.
