Go to youtube and type jeep wobble in the search box. I have a '94 grand cherokee loredo and had the same trouble with the flat tire shaky feeling....turns out it was the thread on my tires , the inside of them was starting to separate. Changed tires and no more wobble...yay, Lori

Wheel could be out of balance. Most tire shops will be able to tell you if the tire needs to be balanced, and/or if the ball joints are an issue (alignment will tell). It may be time for a steering stabilizer as well.

Sounds like it time to have the front end balljoints inspected. Only with an inspection will you get the proper results. Why guess, this is a safety issue.

When driving at 40 to 50 mph and I go over a bump or rough road. The vehicle front end starts shaking real bad and I have to stop to control it

Well, do you really need someone to help you

I think that you have a 15 year old vehicle & we have no
idea if it is lifted or modified in any way

You surely must know you will have to go thru the entire
front end to find the cause

You may have to take it all apart & put it all back together
& as you do, you will find something not right

That is an extreme senerio I will admit

Before coming here, I would hope you already started
checking ball joints,tie rods,steering rack/box etc

2001 jeep grand cherokee runs rough while doing 50 mph and feels like the motor is shaking. It runs rough sometimes. The problem is not constant. The wheel will feel like a wheel weight has fallen off,...

As something to start with, I would check your injectors, do an injector cleaner/seafoam treatment. I would also drain the oil, and check with a magnet to make sure there are no metal shavings running around, and check to see if one of the cylinders has lost compression/the spark plug isn't working.

When you drive 45 mph and above the front end shakes real bad

very good chance you will need tie rod ends, is there squeaking during turns? (ball joints) hit a bump at higher speeds and the car sways left and right? any other symptoms?

95 jeep grand cherokee has a bad shake when u hit a bump at speeds over 50

Have your front end checked,I believe you have small u-joints in your front axles and they go bad.I dont believe they can be greased.

Steering and front end shake bad when hit brakes over 50 mph

Check your front brake discs (rotors) - they may be warped. Check front brake calipers - are they working? Check condition of tyres. Answer is more likely to be the rotors. Your symptoms are dangerous.

Grinding while turning

shuddering while driving means you should have the front wheels rebalanced. as for the grinding that could be a wheel bearing or ball joint going bad
