FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH

After a collision, if the engine cranks but does not start, the fuel pump shutoff switch may have been activated. The shutoff switch is a device intended to stop the electric fuel pump when your vehicle has been involved in a substantial jolt.
1. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
2. Check the fuel system for leaks.
3. If no fuel leak is apparent, remove the cover plug in the trim and reset the fuel pump shutoff switch by pushing in the button on the switch.
4. Turn the ignition to the ON/RUN position. Pause for a few seconds and return the key to the OFF position.
5. Make a further check for leaks in the fuel system.

The fuel pump shutoff switch is located in the passenger's foot well, behind the kick panel. The reset button is accessible through the recess in the kick panel.

Replace the cover plug in trim after reset procedure.

uhhh...fuel filter???? the rest of the maintenance in a 30, 60, or 90K service??? plugged injectors, weak fuel pump, secondary ignition breakdown, TP sensor?? you have alot of years on it. any codes stored in memory????

Anti-Freeze found on floorboard of passenger side interior
When antifreeze finds it's way onto the floorboard of the vehicle, it's more than likely a leaky heater core is the culprit. The heater core is like a small radiator located under the dahsboard mounted inside a plastic housing. The hot antifreeze running through it creates the heat that is delivered to you whenever you turn on your cars heater. When the heater core develops a leak, the lost antifreeze seeps through the seams of the heater core housing and onto the floorboard of the vehicle. You have 2 options: You can have the core replaced by a professional, (cost approximately $250-$350), or you can by-pass the heater core by removing the 2 rubber hoses that connect to it and splicing them together. Both procedures will stop the leak, but by-pasing will leave you with no heat at all. By-passing is much less expensive than replacing. So if money is more of deciding factor than having heat, then bypass!

I believe it is near the passenger's side floorboard, right behind the door hinge. There is an indentation with a rubber button and the fuel symbol near it.

Where is the fuel shut off switch on 1991 ford 150?
On a 1991 F-150 the Fuel Shut Off Switch is located on the left and above where the steering column passes through the floorboard.

1. Turn the Key in the ignition to OFF.
2. Push the Red Reset Button on the Fuel Pump Shut Off Switch
Down.
3. Turn the ignition Key ON for a few seconds, Then turn it OFF,

Chevy silverado heater not blow out at floorboard position it will work at all other? No other problems like water on floorboard.
With the engine cold look under the hood for a small vacuum hose that feeds the duct controls.Its usually on the pass. side near the A/C box mounted on the fire wall. The vac hose will be coming off the intake manifold.They get broke off or disconnected with the heat.

Focus That stalls
you need a new fuel pump. There was a program to pay for this for 10 years I think for some 2000-01 Foucs. Here's what the letter from Ford says: December 2003 Program 03N01 "Attached is a letter announcing the details of a no-charge program Ford Motor Company will be conducting concerning your vehicle's fuel pump. We have found some 2000-01 Ford Focus vehicles may experience symptoms of engine hesitation, loss of power, surging and other similar symptoms ...... as a rsult of progressive contamination of the fuel pump filters." (in the fuel pump). You may reduce the liklihood of the symptoms occurring by kee[ing the tank at least half full. My recollection is the program was good for 10 years. Ask your local Ford Dealer if your car is eligible for this program.
