Drive Pattern
(1 ) Connect the suitable scan tool to the DC3 .
(2 ) Turn the ignition switch to ON .
(3 ) Turn the Scan tool on.
(4 ) Clear DTCs (if set) .
(5 ) Start the engine and warm it up.
(6 ) Drive the vehicle at between 40 mph and 70 mph (6 4 km/h and 113 km/h) for at least 10 minutes . Monitor Status
Check the Readiness Monitor status displayed on the Scan tool.
If the status does not switch to Complete, extend the driving time.
Not sure what is causing it, but it sounds like you're running on 3 cyllinders. Check plugs, wires, timing . timing belt may have jumped, bad injector, low fuel pressure.
This works for a Honda, maybe it will work for your Toyota. (1) Insert your ingition key, (2) press and hold the trip odometer button, (3) move switch to on position just prior to start position (where your warning lights are displayed), (4) hold for 10 seconds.
don't know where you are located but assume you have an advanced auto or autzone near by if you drive the car there you can use there scan tool for free and retrieve the code from the check engine light and pinpoint your problem. could be alot of problems but that will tell you exactly what thye issue is.
