Buick Lesabre Rough Idling, acceleration issues, wont start.

1998 Buick lesabre loses acceleration power when stopping then going. Acceleration then kicks in. Engine Light says bank 1 too lean. Recently, started up the car, idled really rough (exhaust was rumbling) and then it just shut off. This has happened before, and coolant was leaking into the intake. Had to get intake replaced, new oil, new spark plugs. When I got it towed to garage after it stopped running, Garage said it was starting right up when they started it. They probably think I am crazy because I keep bringing it there and it seems to start up ok every time!

SOURCE: tightening sequence diagram for a 97 buick lesabre

Bellow is an "example" of the tightening sequence for an intake manifold. The sequence is usually the same for most vehicles, but you should refer to a Haynes/Chilton manual for your specific make and model of vehicle to verify tightening sequence and torque specs. 1998 Buick LeSabre stalling.

Fuel trim will help,if the number are both positive at idle and go positive at a higher RPM you dealing with a fuel issue. There beem times the pressure regulator acts up,The EGR wont be the problem, you are stalling at idle,The famous crank, cam or ignition module, use a voltmeter or labscope measure the crank signal out put if its lower than 5 volts the ECM wont give a fuel signal.and the cam will not sychronize,I am going with the most popular failure a crank sensor as the solution,

1999 buick lesabre engine surges a d sometimes dies when accelarating only when in gear not while idling in park

Hello,
The problem you are experiencing with your car is as a result of a bad fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter, the fuel pump supplies fuel to the engine, but there is an epileptic power failure in the fuel pump when the car accelerates at times, hence there is no sufficient fuel supply during acceleration therefore the car engine dies at times when accelerating.
The solution is to replace the fuel pump/clean out or replace the fuel filter of your buick.

Sounds like the vacuum modulator on the side of the transmission or the vacuum hose going to the unit. I'm not sure if buick Is fed off of the carburetor vacuum or there's a vacuum tree on the rear of the engine block that may feed it as well. Typically if there is a vacuum leak to the modulator, your engine power will be decreased and your engine will be running rough.

1987 Buick Lesabre T stalling and running rough

I just had the same problem. Replaced the fuel filter, still crappy idle and no acceleration. I replaced the fump pump along with the wiring harness and the fuel pump screen and my cars purrs like a kitten, has back to normal acceleration and idles better than before. Hope this is some sort of help to you. I did it myself. Total cost, a little over $120. Good luck. By the way, your fuel pump should be pushing out about 65 lbs of pressure. is it ???

1992 buick LeSabre transmission troubleshooting!

92 Buick lesabre 97000 miles, on slow acceleration, @ 40mph going into 4th gear there is a mild chutter, same @ 50mph going into OD mild chutter and when down shifting from OD to 4th. All is when slow acceleration. When I say slow acceleration, I mean I drive like a older senior citizen when everyone behind me is annoyed I don't just donor and go. When I do romp to accelerate quicker, there is no chutter at all. Fluid is good and at perfect level. Any ideas? Great car just wondering the scoop is
