if it's a new,are you sure it's the correct one?(same amount of grooves),possibly your tensioner is bad or loose?(with the belt off,see if the tensioner, idler pulley,is/are wobbly),sure you have the correct installation pattern?(if wrong pattern,it'll surely come off) .Hope this helps. Alberto
My sincere apologies for the delayed response. I am personally going back to answer your unanswered questions. I do not know if you still need this information, but I am going ahead and answering it anyway. You may want to Print the Diagrams for future use.
I had the same thing happen, No, I was told this is not one of the engines that allows the piston to contact the valves. I replaced the timing belt 2 years ago and had no valve problems.
r u needing the belt diagram for the power steering, alternator, etc etc...? if so email me at([email protected]) and i can send u a pic of the diagram i have. i have a 1994 plymouth voyager 3.3l just so u know.
Contact the parts store that sold you the timing belt and they should be able to give you the timing settings on your van.
You know if you are going to keep doing major work on your van it would be worth your while to purchase a Chilton's book that is specific for your van.
