The electric window motor and module are working for both up and down motions (I can hear the whirr of the motor) but the window does not go up or down) on the 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The window must have gone off the track somehow. I need to remove the side door panel to see why or how the window got off the track.
1. Remove the door latch trim plate (coupe and sedan front doors).
2. Remove the ashtray (sedan rear doors).
3. Remove the seat belt retractor cover (coupe and sedan front doors). Use a suitable door trim panel removal tool to release the clip retainers
4. Remove the door lock trim plate and the power window switch, if so equipped.
5. Remove the window regulator handle by removing the inner retaining clip, if so equipped.
6. Remove the remote mirror control, if so equipped
7. Remove the trim panel retaining screws
8. Remove the door trim panel using a door trim panel removing to work loose the retainer clips.
9. Detach all electrical and remote mirror controls, as required.
To install:
10. Install the wiring harnesses through the openings in the panel, as equipped.
11. Position the trim panel to the door and align the clips. Press the trim panel to the door until all the clips are fully engaged. Align all the holes before engaging the clips.
12. Install the screws, remote mirror control and inside door handle bezel, as equipped.
13. Install the window regulator handle or power window switch.
14. Install the door trim plate, seat belt retractor cover or ashtray.

The window regulator is what causes the plastic clip to break. I had the same problem. I was able to find a new clip at advanve auto parts, and had to purchase a regulator which includes the motor from ebay. There were many diffrent options out there. Total cost was about $60.
SOURCE: passenger door window off track
I have had the same problem with my driver door. the white pieces actually connect thew metal bracket on the window to the metal pulley that moves the window up and down. the only way to fix this is to buy a new window regulator which shouldn't cost more than $55 online (www.am-autoparts.com). the windindow regulatort comes with these plastic pieces. This is how I solved my problem. Hope this helps!!!!!!:)

This could be an issue with corrosion of the relay between the switch and the motor (little black box).
Sometimes the glue that holds the motor's "piston" to the window will stop working, and the "piston" will slip off the window, causing the window to stick in the down position as well. As long as your doors are apart, you might want to check that too.
For the windows to work, you may need to find a new relay, or possibly a new motor. They can burn out or have other problems in excessive heat/use/age. The GOOD news is that pretty much every salvage yard will have 4 or 5 1987-1991 Oldsmobiles sitting around, so you can steal the parts for next to nothing. Also, Buick LeSabres (also 1987-1991) are almost identical to the 88's, so you can use those for parts too!
Best of luck!
