Yeah, same thing happened to a lot of folks. The transmission has a flaw that causes the 'stuck in neutral' syndrome. Ford will do nothing for you and will not even acknowledge that there is a problem. Check it out for yourself, there are hundreds of complaints posted on the internet and it's about a $2500 repair. Should have been a recall or at least a TSB. Ford has no desire to stand behind their product and repair/replace the faulty transmissions. Way to go and the thanks we get for 'buying American'.

2004 Chevy Cavalier; Driving; turned the corner and suddenly, no D1; D2; or D3. Reverse and park are OK. Transmission fluid checked and OK. No warning lights or sounds just will not go forward

I suspect you have a broken clutch drum or stripped splined shaft inside of the transmission. Even if the electronics failed you would still have 2nd, neutral, reverse, and park so the problem is most likely mechanical. Odds are pretty good that the transmission will need to be removed and repaired or replaced.

How do I fix the transmission problem? The car is moving forward at neutral, drive and low gear, and switching to parking mode at reverse and parking. The car is not backing up at all.

Transmission may now be toast since you continued to drive it when maybe low on fluid or torque converter had failed. How long since last fluid and filter change? Ever?

I changed the gear box of my 2007 corolla about 5 months ago. Then I noticed the car jerks or kind of pushes forward whenever i change my gear from park/neutral to drive or reverse. Please what do you...

A delay of more than a second in shifting from the neutral to drive or reverse gear, could mean that there is a problem with the transmission. If on changing from a neutral or park position to the drive or reverse gear, the car does not immediately catch the gear and move forward or backward, then it could mean a problem in the transmission. If you change gears, and you hear a sudden clunk or sudden jolt or shudder, then the shifting is not smooth and there could be a problem with the gearbox. If the engine rpm keeps increasing but there is no increase in the speed, then it could be a sign of the transmission slipping. Most automatic transmission systems, nowadays, have a check engine light or an OD light, which flashes if there is a problem with the engine.

Probably the wave spring washer which is a common failure on these transmissions. Check the pan for metal parts if this happens. You'll have to replace it if so, but make sure they use the updated, thicker washer (part # 2741A007).

All forward gears work and shift fine....all the sudden no reverse, still drove forwards and shifed fine. Reverse is like park or neutral.

There is a pin in the transmission that has sheared off or a band has come loose. Bottom line you need to have the transmission serviced and repaired.

94 v6 camaro automatic.. no reverse or neutral.

Sounds like you may have burned out the reverse clutch pack inside the transmission by going from drive to reverse. I would recommend seeing a transmission shop for verification. Hope this helps
