Reset Tire Pressure Sensor on 2007 Dodge Caliber

I had my tires rotated on my 2007 Dodge Caliber. The tire pressure sensor is not registering that the tires are in a new place. I've driven over a month like this - how do I get the system to reset? I've tested the tire pressure manually on each tire and can verify that the low pressure tire is not in the position that the sensor says its in.

Also, after I picked the car up from having hte summer tires put on, the light stayed on about a day or two, then it went out for a week and came back on again, flashing for about a minute when I first start the car and then stays on solid until I shut the car off again. Very frustrating to look down and see a light on the dash all the time.

In installing the tyre pressure sensor there is a specific torque to tighten the valve sensor, be sure that this instruction must be followed, and also check if the replacement parts is correct, and in my experience i traveled to 280 miles before the warning light turn off, and according to dodge dealer is,, the car computer will learned itself to sense the frequency of the sensor

How to reset tire pressure monitor on a 2007 dodge caliber SXT

You need to drive for the new sensor to program into the WCM unless it's a after market sensor then sometimes the system will not recognize it.OE sensor would have to be installed then.If you have dashes where the tire pressure would be then this would be normal til the system see's a good sensor.Otherwise the Chrysler scanner could program the sensor # into WCM or WIN

Have their been any problems with the tps on the 2010 dodge caliber

caliber is a wire going to the sensor with a small bolt holding the sesor in place remove thelittle small bolt and take a pair of plyers and remove the metal part of sesor carefully wiglling it side to side slowly now pull it out and spray some brake cleaner or pb blaster stuff in to it and do this with all them placing them all back in place again tighten them all and your good drive around for a few days to a week and the tpsms will go off its a tire pressure sensor another words tire pressure sensor monitor system tells how much air pressure is riding on the wheel well thats how its done or you can go to auto zone and they can use there scan tool to reset it for you free of charge have a nice day !!

TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT STAYING ON

You either have low tire pressure in a tire
A bad tire pressure sensor in a wheel
Or just need to reset the TPMS,if you rotated your tires.

Go to a shop with a TPMS tool or scanner with TPMS software, and have it reset.

Reset the Tire Pressure Warning light.

well it depends, if you have just reset the tire pressures, the light should go off by itself, if it doesn't then you have a bad tire pressure sensor. If you have replaced the sensor, it must be programmed into the WCM by the dealership.

Tire presure sensor replacement or change if required

As for the dealers, they tend to change the tire pressure sensor. It's most likely in there policy since they know the sensor will need to be replaced soon after and don't want too see you again for a bad tire pressure sensor.
There are good tire shops out there that have good training that will not damage the sensor that is in the rim which in most case is connected to the valve stem.
Keep in mind that there are two types of monitor device. There is the Direct system which has a sensor/transmitter inside the wheel.
The other type is the Indirect system which works off the ABS system and counts the rotation of the wheel. As one of the tire is low on air pressure the rotation is different and the ABS will signal the ECM to indicate that there is a lost of air from which tire.
One of the best leading tire company out there is "Tire Rack" Log on to www.tirerack.com to help you make a wise destination.
Good luck and hope this helped

TPMS indicator doesn't reset after tire pressure is normalized

Fixing the tire and setting all the tire at the proper pressure should turn the light off automatically. You might have to go to a Dodge Dealership.
The only reason that I can think of is the pressure sensor was damage when the tire repair was performed. To patch a tire, they need to take the tire off the rim. The pressure sensor can be easily damaged during this process if they are not carefully.
Just keep that possibility in mind.
