It started 2 weeks ago the no charge light came on and battery went weak so i put a new alt in and it worked 4 2days now battery won't start car i checked battery and had 8.3 v so i thought the battery was dead so i got a new battery today it started fine the first time now it won;t start at all when i check the battery i get 11.23v when i try to start it i get clicking noose its a 96 cad

Have you checked to see if it is charging when the lite is on? I would change the alt the brush's get uneven and warn and decide to charge when they want to.
Sounds like the alt is at times not recharging the battery. Check to make sure the alt connections are all tight. Make sure your battery terminals are clean and tight. Some times when an alt has a lot of miles, the brush springs get weak and at times will not make connection and thus not charge. Test the system when the lights come on to make sure that the alt is putting out.
Check the fuel injectors, with the key on one side of the two wire connector will have battery voltage, if none is present then check the ECM fuses in the underhood fuel box.
