2001 330i BMW hazard lights & central locking in car won't work

2001 330i BMW hazard lights and central locking system buttons in the car stopped working ... both buttons are stuck and do not move up or down when you push them. Car doors will lock and unlock with the remote ignition key. Note: I can not use the hazard lights at all. What's wrong with the buttons in the car? How much to fix problem?

SOURCE: 2001 BMW 330i..Fan for AC/vent not working?

The problem is the ac resistor located on the passenger side of the center console. It's a little difficult to get to but not impossible. If i remember correctly it cost about 100.00$ from your BMW dealer. If you do a internet search for problems with BMW a/c you will find many post and fixes. BMW has made 3 revisions to this resistor over the past few years. If replacing this parts does not fix it then the only other cause will be the climate control module located in your climate control display. This is a very expensive part.Remove the plastic cover behind the glove box (passenger side) look toward the drivers side close to the bulkhead and it will be there, disconnect the plug, release the clip and pull back gentally (don't break the clips!) it's pretty easy.
Good Luck

SOURCE: 2001 BMW 330i..Fan for AC/vent not working?

it's either a fuse or it's a bad blower motor, it could be a bad blower motor resistor but usually you'll get either high or low only, so if you have nothing on any speed, high low etc, and all the fuses are ok chances are it's your blower motor.

SOURCE: Central Locking not working

Hi Craig,
I'm running a E34 Tds Touring with a similar problem, my rear doors and tailgate have dropped of the central locking circuit.
I have been told it is the Central locking Module a large black box under the dash that is faulty, apparently a common problem.
Hope this points you in the right direction,
Please remember to rate my effort!

SOURCE: BMW Power Locks don't work, how much to repair?

Before you bring it to a garage and pay good money check the fuses. Usually its as simple as that (located near the battery in the engine bay)

Hope this helps.

Hazard warning lights won't stop flashing

this sounds like the alarm system is going off,try unlocking from the pass/side door and if lights dont flash then you have a bad lock switch in the door.

2002 bmw 530i key does not (remotely) unlock doors or trunk but they work fine manually.

Unlock vehicle. Enter vehicle. Close driver's door. Switch ignition ON and OFF. Remove ignition key. Press and hold unlock button. Press lock button briefly 3 times within 10 seconds keeping unlock button depressed. Release unlock button. Some models: LED flashes slowly for 10 seconds. Some models: Central locking system locks and unlocks rapidly to indicate correct programming. Repeat above procedure if central locking system does not work and LED does not flash or LED flashes continuously.

Hazard button and door lock button not working 325i 02

Your vehicle only has fuses behind the glove box. But since your central lock button is also inop. The your solution is to replace the switch assembly, it comes with both the hazard switch and the lock/unlock button. The removal of the switch assembly is pretty simple. it just pops up with some plastic body tool to pry on it.

with any BMW they have their problems, one is the central locking/immobilizer, the central locking is linked into the immobilizer and vice versa, the immobilizer takes it signal to disarm from the central locking and the ignition key ring. (chip in the key) if one of these starts to play up it has loads of consequences this being one of them. they all need to work together for the system to work properly. you would need to read the alarm and immobiliser codes using an ob2 tool that can detect them, and find the fault some problems it can be the drivers door sensor in the lock this is the main door as its drivers side and it controls all other doors on the central locking. if the switch is worn in any of it movements the system will not know the door has been opened, this does not work on the interior light as that is a switch in the door frame. the door lock is lock unlock and deadlock with key with remote fob its also arm disarm alarm and immobiliser. i have seen in some models there is a sensor auto lock so when you walk away with the key the doors lock automatically all lease parts work together. any one having a problem can cause no signal to be sent to the others in the system to start engine .
