if there isn't a key switch in the dash, then the airbag has a sensor in the passenger seat which measures the weight of the occupant in that seat and if occupant is to light in weight the airbag will be shut off automatically. otherwise if occupant is heavier than 110 lbs the airbag should then be on.
airbag fuses are located under the hood. I have lots of experience with this system on these trucks. most of the time the problems is a bad crash sensor in the front end of the truck.. There are two, one on the passenger side of the front rail, and the other is on the drivers side of the front rail. It will help narrow down the proble if you just have it scanned. most mechanics can read the airbag code for you. Just have to call and ask. I do not recommend you call dealer for this code reading, they will charge you lots. lots of private garages will do it much cheaper. good luck.
code p 0654 refers to engine rpm output--circuit malfunction ===causes wiring ---ECM
code p 0650 refers to malfunction indicator lamp(MIL)--circuit malfunction====causes wiring --MIL---ECm
also refers to crankshaft position/cam shaft position sensor bank 1 sensor A --correlation===causes wiring---CKP sensor ---CMP sensor--mechanical fault
it means your air bag system has a problem and it set a fault code . only a mechanic with the proper scanner or dealer can tell you what the problem is.
Most likely a problem with the passenger seat sensor, BUT you always start by getting the trouble code from the computer. Otherwise you're just guessing.
