If you mean the fuel pump re-set button, Fords used to put them in the trunk area, maybe behind a trim or moulding piece. If it's not there, you may have to check with the dealer, or someone familiar with later Escorts. Good luck.
ok so now check for spark by removing a spark plug wire and sticking a srcew driver into it and then putting it next to metal on engine but not touching have some one crank it over and watch the screw driver for spark. sounds like one of the two crucial elements is missing you have gas and now you need spark to run.
The humming noise is from the fual pump. I had to change out 3 pumps before one would work. Put a pressue gage on the fual line to the carb and it should stay at +20 lbs for at least 1/2 day. Most likely the fual lines are ok and so is the fual filter. It is a very dangerous job to change out a fuel tank pump. I always have a machanic to the job. Think it over, safety first! And if the machanic installs a faulty pump then he will install another new one at no charge. Good Luck
