positive and negative terminals are different sizes on batteries so the positive lead will only go on one terminal as it is the smallest , that's the way the battery will be placed as the pos wire will be at that side and they are'nt long enough to stretch over
hi if you follow the positive + lead from the battery it will lead you to the other end where it fastens to the starter motor solenoid starter motor is at the rear side of engine nearest bulkhead and is secured to the point where gearbox clutch housing secures to engine it is secured by three bolts 13 mm ? socket or spanner size or the old 1/2" AF size spanner ? b4 you attempt removal of starter ? you must disconnect earth lead from battery (ensure if your radio is coded ? you have the code to re instate ? ) out of curiosity ? what problem do you have with starter? may be able to help ??
