I think I need to replace the fan relay in my 2005 Kia Optima, it gets close to over heating in traffic and is fine when traffic is flowing. Where is it located?

Follow the wire harness from fan. If you dont find a relay it should be in the fusebox under the hood. When you take the cover off flip it over and there should be the location of each fuse/ relay and what it is for.

My problem just about heating every think is OK in cooling system but when traffic is low my car become overheating...

If your car is overheating then everything is not ok in the cooling system. If it happens mostly in traffic make sure the coolant level is not low and that the cooling fans are functioning.

Radiator fan does not turn to

The thermo switch is fitted into the radiator low down on the left side (when sitting in drivers seat). It should have 2 thick wires going to it. If these are pulled off and joined together the fan should run continuously, even with the ignition switched off. It is reasonably easy to change if you have the correct size ring spanner. Dont forget to refill the radiator with antifreez when you have finnished. the part is readily available from most after market parts suppliers

1999 dodge grand caravan over heats when sitting still or driving in traffic. We have replace the colling fan relay twice. The fuse it good, all fans do work. Any ideas?

do the fans actually cut in? the relay is operated by a switch on the motor, either the switch is bad or more likely the wiring to it has corroded.

Just leave the jumper on the switch, it will not hurt for the fan to run continuous. just be sure fan shuts down when the ignition switch is turned off.
