My 02 staturn sc 1 was out of gasafter refuleing it wont start...it will occasionally start idel high then stall is this a fuel pump, filter, injector or what...please help

    problem with 02 sc1 cranks won`t was ignition fuse. on the out of gas. you may have burnt the pump out if you keep trying to start the car dry.or it may pick up tras

I have problems sometimes when I start the 2005 6.6 turbo diesel truck it will just stall out then wont restart unless I pump the top of the fuel filter.
not sure on the model but some diesel have a high and low pressure fuel pump, once could be bad. low pressure push fuel from the tank to the high pressure, the high pressure pushing the fuel into the engine. or a rubber fuel line is bad letting are into the fuel system. look for heavy cracked rubber hoses

1998 cummins diesel idels fine but stalls less than a 1/4 mile down road.
Have you checked or changed the fuel filter? Will it start and idle after it stalls? I have seen dirty filters or filters that have colapsed cause a similar condition before.

change out ur fuel filters, theymay have trash in them, especially if u ran it low in gas..it may also be the fuel pump going out, check out the filters first..goodluck.
