My saturn was running fine. I shut it off and returned minutes later and the car wouldn't start. It wouldn't even crank over. I tried jumping it but still nothing. I have power, no turn over. Could it be the starter? I had no previous warning. It is a 97 saturn SL2

Bad connections at the battery. This happened to my 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais. Had it towed to an electric shop thinking it needed a starter, battery, or alternator.

They cleaned the ends, and that fixed it.

I would start by rechecking the connections assuming the battery and starter are alright.

Wire brush until shiny as new.

2009 528i after driving 30 minutes and parked 30 minutes later no start, will jump start, new battery still does this. can't find Battery voltage status when running after jump car runs fine .
Have you tried disconnecting the hot wire from the battery to the starter and cleaning both the connection from battery and on the starter. A toothbrush and water/baking soda?

You could have blown the main fuse while doing the jump start. Also check the fusible link on the power battery cable.

first you half to determine if the alternater is working. you do his by jumping the car and while its running take of the neg cable off to the car if it dies then you know the alternater is not working properly,

Have the alternator and battery checked. The battery may not be holding a charge. The alternator may not be charging the battery,it should put out between 14 and 15 volts,any less the alternator is bad.

these early injectors its more likely the prblem try some chevron injector cleanor see if starts running better if it does and returns ur injectors probrably need replace go rockauto.com if they do theyre cheap
