I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette and the front Air Vents do not blow out anything at all. There is no A/C heat or defrost. Would a low compressor cause this? The rear vents are blowing out air as normal. What could cause this?

Mode door actuator . A electric motor that controls a door that directs air flow .

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

mabey a bad mode door acuator,stuck. partally plugged heater core. thees systems can be tricky when they have auto climate control

try a vaccum leak under the hood. Look and listen for any little sounds of air blowing out. Also the door switch may not be turning to vent it may be stuck on one side, like defrost!

your heater blower motor is probably defective.

common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.

I WISH I WAS THERE TO HELP.I DONT RECALL WHERE ANY OF THE VENT VALVES WERE LOCATED BUT IF YOU CANT SEE ANY OR THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS LOOK IN TACT DONT TURN IT INTO A WORSE PROBLEM.BRING IT IN IT DOESNT NECCISSARLY HAVE TO BE THE DEALER IF YOU HAVE A RELIABLE MECHANIC OF YOUR OWN.IVE REPAIRED MANY CARS THAT WERE ATTEMPTED TO BE REPAIRED BEFORE BEING BROUGHT IN AND THE BILL WAS A LOT HIGHER.GOOD LUCK
