So your main problem is body roll? Did you replace the swaybar bushings? Replacing my swaybar bushing on my 06 fixed my body roll problems. If you did, did you get the right size? There are 2 different sizes of bushings. $3500 for the front end??? Look at Detroit Axle next time. I did my entire suspension for $410, including hubs, shocks, struts, UCA, LCA, Links, inner, and outter tie rods.
I don't any parts listings for ordinary (ie low priced) shocks for this vehicle.
Your looking at about $210 each for Monroes (parksgeek, com has free shipping) I hope it helps you!
did you blow your back air shocks there should be a switch in trunk to reset air shocks when you lift your car make sure you turn this switch off if you dont you could blow your air shocks there not cheap to fix unsure the exact price
Shocks you can get at any spares place, watch places like Supaquick and Speedy's, they have specials from time to time, two for the price of one type of thing. Midas and Autozone also do specials and advertise in their pamphlets. Sonny's in Actonville, Benoni are also pretty cheap. There are are places all over Gauteng that repair bumpers, try them or use the yellow pages and phone around the scrap yards. Last resort unfortunately is the agents but that will probably cost you lots of Rands.
Why did you not install the correct shocks.Cost is high, but its a Cadillac, they dont make them with cheap parts, if they did, it would be a chevy. I dont think there is a fix.
Get standard not air adjustable shocks and save alot of $$$$$ These are electronic as standard equipment and cost is over $700 each. for each shock. The compressor is a heavty price as well and the the heigth sensor is costly
I usually charge a base price on shocks and struts.to change shocks I charge around 30.00 or 40.00 dollars labor per pair.struts i charge 65.00 per pair.i'm cheeper than most guys because of the rural small town i live in here in alabama.but it may be your leaf spring not real sure by the discription, you could mean the shock,or the strut but it could mean the leaf spring which i think montanas have a shock and leaf spring set up not struts.i can't pull up my picture in my head too clearly,i've seen underneath hundreds of those vans just can't remember.hope i helped you with a price, don't let any body rip you off on the labor cause shocks are fairly easy to change.
