Where I can find the serial number of engine jimmy 1994 ?

There is a vacuum routing guide under the hood on the federal emission certification sticker. If that Is no longer there I need to know the engine type, whether is federal or California certified engine emission system.

It is on a tag on the outside of the transmission case, you will need to raise the car to see the tag.

The serial number on any part is unique to that one part, there is no way to look up a serial number. Are you sure you don't mean the part number?

No. The factory installed V-6's and 5.7 and 7.4 engines. In 16 years anyone could have put any Chevrolet V-8 engine in it. If you need to know exactly what engine it is there are references that identify them by engine serial number. The serial number is on the right upper face of the block just in front of the head. You can also identify any of them by pulling a head and measuring the bore and stroke. One formula for displacement is: (Bore divided by 2 x bore divided by 2 )x 3.1416 x stroke x 8 = Displacement.

You have to determine a few things. Are you getting spark at the plugs? Are you getting fuel to the injectors? You can also read the engine codes to see what codes are stored in there.

It depends on what kind of engine you have. If you engine has the big black plastic piece on the top center of the engine, then it is located under that plastic piece. If it does not have the plastic piece, then it is located inside the throttle body. I hope this helps you. Please leave good feedback.

In one word NO! The number on the block mean very little as far as the year! But GM is one of the better when it comes to swapping parts! Never heard of this before! Sure like to know what parts are not fitting?? Frankster016
