Does the coil pack for a Ford expedition 2003 4.6L 2 wheel drive have any specific number visible to know what coil pack goes where when you accidentally mix them iup
coil on plug, It doesn't matter which coil goes on which spark plug, the wiring connector does matter. In the diagram you can see coil wire color for each cylinder, The voltage wires are the same color, the ground wire color is different, make sure you get it on the proper coil. The firing order above is correct for 5.4 and 4.6L

There's no firing order for this truck, due to it has 8 ignition coil pack's and each cylinder has it's own coil pack that sits over each cylinder (spark plug), remove 8mm bolt on each coil pack and slide coil pack out and spark plug will be under it.

I had changed intake manifold gaskets and when i had moved the intake manifold I had tooken out the coil packs not realizing that I forgot to label them
