I'd bet it is out of gas - at the engine Have the fuel pressure tested. It is crucial to maintain high fuel pressure at the engine's fuel injectors. You could try a new fuel filter, and see if that helps.
No the pump and fuel filter in tank is what is causing the problem. You either have a partical restriction in the fuel filter or the pump is not putting out enough pressure to run the truck. hope this will help you.
