How to replace sway bar end links to a 94 dodge intrepid
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
The rear suspension on LH platform vehicles is a fully independent suspension. A stabilizer bar (also called a sway bar) is mounted in rubber isolator bushings and connects the rear struts through links. Note that the fuel tank must be removed to remove the stabilizer bar.
CAUTION
OFF. The fuel system pressure must be relieved before disconnecting any fuel lines. Failure to do so may result in fire and/or personal injury.
To install:
Replace the sway bar bracket bolt with new after loosening or removing them. Only use original equipment bolts as replacements.
I spray nut with wd40 in my AC Delco sway bar link is an l shape ball and socket unit with two rubber bushing and nut connected to the top of the frame. The bottom is a stud and nut connected to the end of the sway bar. To remove you must put a wrench on both side to hold in place during removable of the bottom nut and stud , then the top stud with the rubber bushing. The link kit cost $16 each at major parts store i put the car up on ramp and removed and replaced the side that was broken in 20 mins.
