SOURCE: how to replace a blower motor resistor in a 2004 jeep liberty

I'm not 100% sure where it is, or possibly built right in to the dash control/fan switch, but I'd be tempted to stop & see the parts guy at the dealership, or another dealership, and ask if they have one, or a picture of one. Once you see it, you'll know where to look. Just a guess but quite often built right into switch on dash.

SOURCE: 03 Santa Fe blower motor resistor replacement

the part you need to replace is the blower motor resistor assembly it has a screw on each side of it with a plug in th middle and for the most part it is on the passanger under the dash behind a black cover stop by a auto store and take a look at one and then you know what you are looking for and at the same time you can find out how much its going to cost i am only going to guess it somewhere around $15.00 to 25.00 dollars.

SOURCE: Fog Light Replacement Hyundai Santa Fe

The above statement is GREAT!!! The wheel-well piece folds down across the area you need to be in. There are 2 screws to undo this part. Push it back and there is a cap that unscrews which holds the wires and socket he is talking about. Unscrew the cap, unscrew the wire and housing. The bulb comes out. You pull the wire harness off and install the new bulb. It has a triangular push-in and it has to go just right so take note of how it comes out. Also, being a halogen light bulb, do not touch the bulb with your hands - the oils will make it explode.

SOURCE: How to remove rear brake rotors

THE REAR BRAKE ROTOR IS A LOOSE ROTOR AND SHOULD COME OFF EASILY. IF NOT, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE ROTOR IS HELD BY RUST ONTO THE HUB OR THE BRAKE SHOES IS STILL EMBEDDED INTO THE ROTOR. REMOVE THE HANDBRAKE CABLE TO ENSURE THAT THE BRAKESHOES COLLAPSE AND TRY TO LOSEN IT AGAIN. IF SEASED ONTO THE HUB BY RUST, KNOCK THE ROTOR WITH A COPPER HAMMER TO BRAKE THE RUST WITH A RUST REMOVER.

SOURCE: How do you replace blower motor resistor on a 2004

Well you are starting in the right direction with the blower motor resistor. To change it there is only two screws that hold it to the heater case. There is also a wire harness that you need to disconnect from the blower motor also. Installation is reverse of removal.

Location of blower unit resistor on Santa Fe 2004

The repair manual shows the resistor above the blower motor. It says to remove the dash pad for access. You may be able to remove the glove box to get to it.

Blower Motor only works on high and resistor changed

sounds like it's the switch; but it is important to see whether the fan spins freely or else the switch or resistor block will fail again. the most common reason for these failures is that the motor drags and pulls too many amps, thus overheating the connectors and wires.

Heater fan only works on hight. 2004 hyundai santa fe

This problem is related to faulty blower motor resistor. The resistor is the part which controls the blower motor to work on required speeds. But if resistor fails then motor will work normally but will not work on selected speed like slow and medium .In this case replacing the resistor should help.To locate the resistor open your glove box and roll it all the down take off the panel in behind the resistor will be top right hand side. This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Blower fan for heater only works on speed 4 (high speed)

Check the resistor. If it looks heat damaged, replace or test with ohmmeter. Resistor is under dash at location indicated in picture below. You may have to remove part of the dash to see it. Also recommend you see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6234839-doesn_t_heater_or_air_conditioner_blow . These are generic instructions. I have a 2004 santa fe, the A/C blower only works on high. There is power from the control head to under the dash, but where it goes into the fan there is no power except for when it is on high

How about when the heat is on? You might have 2 reostats, one for heater one for A/C.The reostat controls blower speed Most cars only have one ,but who knows seen stranger thjngs,I have had bad blower motors only work on high.My guess would be a reostat.

Blower fan won't shut off its or climate control fan keeps running 2003 hyundai santa fe

Probably a stuck fan control relay.
Find the relay and remove it - if this stops the fan. replace the relay with a new one.
