2001 Oldmobile Aurora is having trouble starting. It also sputters a little while at idle. When driving and i barely touch the gas pedal the headlights will dim on occasion. I do not know much about cars please help

Can be anything from bad gas failing sensors needing tune up to failing engine start with hook up and scan trouble codes then start checking fuel/electronic components

sometimes pulsating feeling comes from the rotors being warped and thepulling may be a badcaliper

partially blocked fuel filter or clogged injectors. Good place to start. Also, does that truck have a coil for every cylinder?

Throttle cable may be frayed,or the pedal mount may be loose,either way ,
BE SURE to correct this,if it sticks the other way,you may not be able to stop.

You need to get the trouble codes out of the computer first. Take it to your local autoparts store and they can hook up a scan tool and retreive codes this give you a general area start looking for the problem.

2001 kia sportage, 164,000, driving on highway and engine starts to sputter momentarily, then runs good , then sputters, runs best if you barely push gaspdal, to much pedal and sputters again

Check the fuel filter to see if it is plugged.
Remove the fuel filter, and blow air through it in the normal direction of fuel flow. You should be able to blow through it very easily. If it feels restricted, try blowing through it the opposite way, and if there is a lot of dirt coming out, you have found a common cause of this problem. Hope this helps.
