I have a 2003 nissan xterra...can't get the idiot lights for the airbag and check engine soon to go off...and the keyless entry will not work, battery in the keyless has been changed and the vehicle has been serviced numerous times, the idiot lights will go off for a week or two then come back on...guy at the shop says there is nothing wrong with engine and it does run well...any advice?

Take it to a different shop. Something is wrong with it. However, when the airbag light is on, that means the airbag will not deploy in an accident. You should have that fixed first. The dealership is the best option for making the keyless entry work. If this was at all helpful, please rate. Thanks for asking.

Easy fix
And good luck

The procedure is as follows:

1. Turn key to the ON position. Wait until the airbag light turns off then immediately turn the key to the off position.

2. Wait 5 Seconds

3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 two more times

4. Turn key on and wait until the air bag light starts to flash slowly

5. Wait 10 seconds

6. Turn off the car

7. Turns it back on and the air bag light should now longer be flashing.

ometimes when you disconnect wires like let's say installing an aftermarket radio when you reconnect and power on your vehicle the airbag light comes on and stays on till you reset your airbag light.

I think the code is cold turn your key ignition all the way but one click before engine starts so all lights on but one click turn before starting car key position

Solid air bag light 3 seconds I think then the air bag light starts to flash your turn off key timing is that window before the flash of the airbag light

So if top not work for you try this also
Step 1
turn key to on position one click before start car
Step 2
When you turn key to the on position wait for your 3 seconds before the flash then quickly turn the key to the off position.

Step 3
Wait about 15 to 20 seconds
Then repeat all steps

A total of 3 times repeat steps 1-3

Then remove key leave off for 30 seconds then start up
