The EPC light on my Dashboard is showing

If the vehicle was recently without reserve battery power, those lights are normal. Drive it 100 ft and those lights should go off. If not, I would check for bad grounds since it is several icons lit up.

The EPC light means something is wrong in the drive-by-wire path, the "gas pedal" potentiometers or the electric motor-controlled throttle body, etc.

Thee is no way to know how serious this is until the diagnostic work is completed and the failed parts identified.

Usually EPC, means electronic pressure control. This is a solenoid inside the transmission. Very common replacement part. Being it is a VW, it could be some thing else. Have the codes read and repost.

You have an engine code for something. Take it into a local parts store and most of them will scan for free... otherwise look online or on ebay and you can find scanners for cheap. VW's get a lot of lights it seems because everything is really regulated.

You need access and erase the EPC memory by DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) using diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to reset the EPC, and turn off the EPC yellow light.

probably you have either fitted the wrong bulb, accidently fitted the bulb wrong or shorted out the wiring or holder, look in your handbook for fuse location and double check your hatch bulb.
