You may only need a clutch adjustment if it is a manual

Sound like a problem with the trasmission switches; coudl scannedt the TCM to know is some fault code is stored there. Additionally, I suggest check this DIY about this trans switch in this link: mdx.acurazine.com/forums/showthread

I have a 2001 MDX and I cant get it to go into gear. When I depress the brake, I cant move the shifter from park into R,N or any of the D's....what do you think is the problem

Take a look at the shift lock. When you depress the brake is there an audible click heard coming from the center column? If not there could be a few possible problems. Either your brake pedal switch is defective(brake lights coming on?) the wiring to the shift lock is open or shorted, or the shift lock itself is defective. A quick fix is to remove the small plastic cover just right of the shifter that is the shift interlock manual release. Using a small pocket screwdriver depress the white plastic button and move the shifter.

Weird noise from Acura MDX

Could be a lot of different things... Transmission mount broke, exhaust rubbing against something...ect. Have a mechanic check it out.

Transmission lugs in D5 gear at low speed, low RPM.

If a competent transmission shop said you need an overhaul the you need one.

2004 Impala - 115,000 miles - has intermittent hard shifts

The dealer should know this! The EPC solenoid (controls pressure) hangs up with wear and causes the harsh shifts.
