How do i recharge the air conditioner on my 1990 lexus 400

the low side its located between autopilot actuator and windshield, passenger side firewall

If it has r12 in it just drain it out and recharge the system with R134A.

u will need to remove tires and support car on jack stands under the hood u will find three nuts holding the strut up u can only pull strut off once u hav removed all other bolts from below car... go to auto zone.com and look up repair manuals they will be free after u sign up which is also free

you need to find the source of the hissing sound. thats why it will not raise. you have a big leak.

Mine did that and it was low on freon recharged it now works great
