Cap pressure is best determined by going to the auto parts store and buying a new one. You can ask the counter guys to look it up online before actually buying. Most radiators today run 15 PSI, but the cap is just a safety valve, and has nothing to do with controlling the actual pressure. The thermostat does that, and if your having boil over problems, then you need to be looking to other causes (plugged radiator, bad water pump, etc.).
Hi just a tooth out on the timing will cause problems always check and check again it HAS to be perfect, also if you started this as it was over heating and the pump was ok check radiator and have the cylinder head pressure tested to rule out a head gasket problem, Hope this helps
