i just bought a 98 park ave and i had the iossue of hot on passenger side and cold out the driv ers i was told i had to replace the control head and both accuators...... i did a trani flush and it fixe my problem
these have separate left and right heater control door motors and sometimes they will stick in place, sometimes if you tap on the motor it will start to work but it should be replaced as it will stick again.these motors are under the dash on the passenger side on top of the heater box.
sounds like the drivers temp door actuator is not working should be located on the drivers side of the air box down by the gas pedal or center dash area
