The driver's side door lock won't unlock!!! Chevy '95 G20

The driver's side door lock won't unlock to be able to shut the door. the door it's self is loose off of the hinges about a few cm (1 or 2). Basically the problem is that the door won't shut without kicking it shut. I have dug around inside the lock hole personally to find a latch or a mechanism that would release it, but to no avail. I need to get this answered with DIY answers by the morning!!!!

It's a very common problem. A greasy and temp fix is to press the thumb button on the handle, then take your finger and lift the top locking lever in the door mechanism that has fallen down to prevent the striker from closing both levers. This will not fix the problem. Most likely the striker (the bolt that the lock affixes to) has lost the vinyl sleeve and has damaged the lock from repeated use. You may have to replace the mechanism which isn't to hard to do if you can swing a wrench.

Door on 95 geo metro 4 door won't close because the child proof lock in on and I can't get it to go off. Door won't stay shut. Any ideas how to fix this?

Your childproof lock have nothing to do with the latch not closing. It only makes it where you can not open the door from the inside. I would think you are in need of a new latch.

I have a 94 Chevy G20 and am having problems with door locks. I can unlock them with the remote and in about five minutes they will lock back. It will not lock with door locks. If this is bad will it...

(1) Check the lock and unlock relays. If they have the same part number change them around to see if problem reverses.Could be bad relays.(2) Also check connections going to the actuators.

Chevy 95 g20 van 8 cylinder wiring order spark plugs

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 The #1 spark plug is the front spark plug on the drivers side and the cylinder location in order from front to back on the drivers side is 1-3-5-7 and on the passenger side it is 2-4-6-8. The ignition rotor rotation is clockwise.

If your Distributor cap is not numbered then replace the new wires, or transfer the old ones to the new distributor cap one wire at a time. Identify the #1 spark plug wire and start from there.
