I have a 2005 Ford Focus se s ltr there is a light with a car and lock that blinks until I turn the key on then I get 5 beeps and the car will not turn over. I had a bad battery and replaced it and is not working now.

most nissans can turn this on and off. press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the remote together for 5 - 10 seccons, until the horn beeps or the lights flash. thats the way to set them on most nissans

makesure fuse fore central locking is not loose or just coroded fit new one

Will the key go in and out of the ignition? If you can take the key from the ignition, I would use WD40 and lubricate the ignition lock until it is almost overly lubricated and take the key and push it in the lock and tap the end of the key into the lock with a hammer (remember, I said TAP). I just changed out the ignition cylinder in my 2002 Focus and it was a five minute job because I could get the old cylinder in the ON position and didn't have to drill it out. and Tousley ford did me great on the price!
