Do this test first. With the drivers door opened in a nice quite area turn the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine. You should hear the fuel pump operating for 5 seconds which is priming fuel to the engine. If not heard the engines oil pressure sensor is at fault. The third wire from this sensor links to the fuel pump to prime. When the engine reaches normal operation oil pressure range the computer shuts off that circuit and turns on the fuel pump relay for the pump to run. That relay stays on until you shut the engine off

Had the pump changed 3 days ago. Engine ran fine when restarted 4 more times. Now pump is not priming - as it did before I spent $286 to fix it. My car was built 8/1995. I don't see but one sensor and it has only one wire going to it - not 3. Is this a different setup? Oil pressure gauge is showing full normal pressure too. Any clues??? Car has 50,000 miles original FYI.

No power to fuse for fuel pump on a 1996 Saab 900 S convertible

It is possible that the relay is "upstream" (electrically speaking) and power is not making it through it to the fuse. There's not a whole lot of other options between the fuse and the battery. Here are two other items you may want to inspect for loose or corroded connections: Ignition Switch, Fuse Block. If the power stops at the ignition switch it will most likely be the contacts on the inside. It is possible to remove and clean them on some Saab 900's but if I remember correctly it was not easy.

Locate fuse for fuel pump 1997 camaro

The fuel pump power to the relay is powered by the PCM BAT fuse 15amp.
The relay is grounded and the PCM powers the relay to turn it on and power the pump.
You should have power on the orange wire with the key on.
The PCM powers the relay when the key switch is in the start position and after the computer sees oil pressure and RPM.

No power to fuel pump or pump fuse on a 1996 saturn sl1. whats up?

The fuel pump fuse gets its power from the fuel pump relay, which is located in the Instrument Panel Junction Block.

The fuel pump relay gets its ground from G102, which is located just forward of the left strut tower.

The fuel pump relay gets its power from the Powertrain Control Module Connector "C" Pin 10 ( DARK GREEN/ WHITE wire) for the primary side of the relay.

The sencondary side (the side that provides power to the fuel pump fuse) of the fuel pump relay gets its power from the IP BATT Fuse (30 Amp) HOT AT ALL TIMES in the underhood fuse block.

This should be enough information to figure out why your fuel pump is not getting power. Let me know what you find.

No power too fuel pump relay

A fuse will blow for 2 reasons . 1) If the device has a Short in the circuit that runs through this fuse. 2) If the device draws more amperage from the power source through the fuse than the fuse will handle. ex. if a fuel pump or starter has a 20 amp fuse and the starter/fuel pump is going bad and draws 30 amps it will blow the fuse. A fuel pump on a 1996 vehicle is located in the fuel tank and is kept cool by the surrounding gas and the gas that flows through it. Overheating a fuel pump is virtually impossible. That being said there is a High probability that replacing the fuel pump and relay will fix this problem. It is quite common for this to occur in the GM vehicle of 1996. When the pump starts to fail, it draws an excessive amount of amperage and would blow the fuse. Hope you find this information useful.
