Dash lights out in 1998 saturn sl and cant find fuse for it

It looks like the parking lamp fuse is in the box in the engine compartment marked PARK and the dash light fuse is in the box on the driver side of the dash marked DIMMER. They are two different circuits.

look for the knob that controls the brightness it could be set to dim position

what hve you checked a fuse or relay my have blown what happens when you turn the key does any lights come on in the dash check wires to ignition for bad connection or broken wires and make sure you have the right part

There are two fuse boxes one i under the hood and the other is on the passengerside next to the center console.

You should check your ignition switch first. Since you have lights, you have a charge. If you have a good fuse, you probably need a starter solenoid or starter.

make sure the interior light dimmer didnot get turned down

For 1998 Saturn SL 1.9L MFI SOHC 4cyl the Flasher is located: Seating area, center, under dash, mounted under center of dash.

There is an interior fuse panel just to the left of the passenger's left knee. The cover It is held on by velcro. After you take off the cover, you will see a diagram on the inside of the cover telling you which fuse is for what. This is covered in your manual, which is in the glovebox. If you do not have a manual you can get one off ebay for a few bucks.

sounds like the brake light switch is bad

I am very sure if you are able to jump start your car then your best bet is that your battery is bad. You can get your battery checked at Autozone for free. Your dashlight has a bulb inside the transparent fiber plastic. You can simply open the dashboard with a screw driver and should be able to replace the bulbs for cheap. It is like 30 minutes job.
