My 1998 Corvette left headlight will not come up. I have repaired the motor the light works but no power is going to the headlight motor.what is the problem?

Does your cluster intensity decreases when you hide the photocell? The photocell aperture is on the upper left corner of the dash cluster. If it does not, this gentleman can repair it for you or provide the repair kit: http://www.batee.com/corvette/dcrg/photocell/

check the rods and power to the light motor . The little bushes on the arms wear out and the arms can lock or fall off and jam the motor crank.

Just watch the video from YouTube. Takes about 2 hours to do this.

If you can verify current going out of the main dash switch towards the headlamps, then I would go relay hunting. My guess is the switch, since the brights and fog lamps work on demand (dimmer switch pulled).

You will need to rebuild the headlight motors. You can buy the headlight motor rebuild kits with full instructions from ZIPS.com or any of the online Corvette restoration parts suppliers.

Make sure that the fuse to the head light is not blown. If so, replace it with a new fuse.

I had this problem with a pontiac fiero. They use the same motor as the corvette. You probably have to replace the motor the makes the light go up and down.

if the motor work the light should so check it and make sure power goes to motor also

Raise the headlights, either with the switch or manually by turning the knob on the headlight motor counter-clockwise.
Unplug the lights NOW to avoid an accidental closing on your fingers,
Remove the 3 philips screws holding the black plastic surrounding the headlights, and slide it forward, there is a small clip on the top that helps hold it to a corresponding clip at the top of the headlight,
Look inside the cavity and you can see the 5 nuts/bolts ( 6 on later years ) that need to be removed,
If you are on the driver's side you can now remove the whole assembly, on the passenger's side you must first unplug the headlight door control module.

if they both stoped workin at the same time i'd start by checking all the vacuum lines going to the headlights
