Check under the distributor cap and look at the connector where the ignition module connects to the pick-up coil/stator, and if it is dark or burnt looking then replace the pick-up coil/stator or the entire distributor. Here is an image of the ignition pick-up coil/stator and you will notice the white connector, and when that connector becomes dark or burnt looking then the pick-up coil/stator is faulty.

Engine swings but does not start

Your testing so far seems to exonerate components #1 to #5, and #13.
Since you've already replaced a number of parts to address the problem, I thought I should try to be comprehensive:

Priority Action Part Type Cause
1 Inspect Ignition Switch - Improperly Connected or Faulty Ignition Switch.
2 Inspect Battery - Battery Discharged or Faulty.
3 Inspect Battery Cable - Coroded, Broken, Shorted or Poorly Connected Battery Cable.
4 Inspect Starter Solenoid - Starter Solenoid Faulty.
5 Inspect Starter Motor - Starter Motor Faulty.
6 Inspect Wireset - Worn or Damaged Spark Plug Wires.
7 Inspect Ignition Coil - Faulty Ignition Coil.
8 Inspect Distributor Cap - Loose, Cracked or Worn Distributor Cap.
9 Inspect Spark Plug - Incorrectly Gapped or Fouled Spark Plug(s).
10 Inspect Distributor Cap and Rotor Kit - Loose, Cracked or Worn Distributor Cap, or burned rotor contacts.
11 Inspect Fuel Tank - Fuel Tank Empty.
12 Inspect Carburetor - Worn, Faulty or Damaged Carburetor.
13 Inspect Fuel Pump - Faulty Fuel Pump.
14 Inspect Fuel Pump Strainer - Fuel Pump Strainer Clogged.
15 Inspect Fuel Filter - Fuel Filter Clogged.
16 Inspect Air Filter - Air Filter Clogged.
17 Inspect Fuel Injectors - Fuel Injectors Clogged/Inoperative
18 Inspect/Test PCM - Powertrain Control Module (Computer) defective - sending incorrect ignition/timing signals to fuel injectors
19 Inspect Fuel Rail - Fuel Rail leaking/broken causing inadequate/low fuel pressure.

Use a HEI (High Energy Ignition) tester to see if you have spark to your sprak plugs - if not, suspect Ignition Coil, Distributor Cap, or Distributor Rotor.

I just replaced the battery. Car cranks but does not start. I dont think its the starter. what can it be?

Lotta things - first things to check are tune-up items: spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter,
rebreather filter, oil filter, fuel filter, in-tank fuel strainer, ignition control module/distributor cap/rotor,
PCV valve

Most probable cause: lack of spark from the ignition system
2nd most probable cause: engine starved for fuel due to fuel system problem: fuel filter, fuel pump,
in-tank fuel pump or clogged in-tank fuel strainer.

1989 F150 WITH 5.0LITER RUNS FOR AWHILE THEN SHUTS OFF. WHEN IT COOLS AWHILE IT WILL RUN FOR A SHORTER PERIOD AND SHUT OFF AGAIN. I HAVE CHANGED FUEL FILTER, DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR AND IGNITION CONTROL...

If it doesn't have any spark when cranking over after it has died then I would look at replacing the ignition pick-up coil located inside the distributor. If it does have spark you may have a fuel pump that quits pumping fuel as the pump heats up. I'd check for spark first but I have put a number of fuel pumps in these over the years also.

You say it isn't getting spark either. Have you checked the ignition module?

Galant Special Edition 1994 Motor does not start

this maybe caused by no fuel or faulty fuel pump, ignition coil, wire and plug crank position sensor. first check for spark by removing on spark plug wire and put a spark plug in the spark plug wire boot, donot touch the plug only the boot have someone crank the car over. if you see spark, that part of the ignition is good. if not, check the coil resistance if should 40 to 80 ohm with a volt meter pf not replace. if ok, but no spark check the igniton control madule make sure the coil and module are receiving current. if not check the fuse that feels them. if it is ok, check distributor cap and rotor. if rotor and cap are fine, check for fuel at either the fuel filter, the fuel return line or removing some spark plug and see if they are wet. if there is no fuel check the fuel pump and the fuse and relay that control the pump. if there is fuel with high pressure but there is no spark, check the crank sensor for signal with a volt meter while cranking the vehicle

Engine stalls without warning

check engine light comes on after driving any given amount of time. Replaced egnition modual didn't work, replaced pcv valve, didn't work, replaced stater module, didn't work, replaced the fuel filter, didn't work. Took it in for diagnostics and was told that it is either the egnition module, computer, or the wires that are attached to the computer that go out to different parts in the engine.
