Dives just fine in 1 and 2 gear but wont work in drive or 3rd but the engine doesn't over heat and works normally but drive and 3rd doesn't work

must be an internal gear problem take to a KIA dealer as they will probably know of a fault

if no other fault codes present
like TPS or speed sensor pedal sensor

then
pan taken off gasket changed and refilled
any thing else checked ?
what was the mechanics assessment of the
transmission after service

did anyone check all the five solenoids
while servicing
most TQs have a lock solenoid if that checked out ok

replace the torque converter should fix it

with pan off
yo u be able to replace any of the faulty solenoids

dear . start engine then shift revers gear , apply brake then refill ATF more till its full , then shift at P . road test , check how , all problem
ATF was low level

sounds like a servo or sensor problem more than a transfer case. try removing all electrical plugs to t case run it through the gears then replace one by one to see if there is a problem there.

Yes a command thing 3 and 4 clutches burn out i have the same problem just waiting for spring so i can rebuild mine

i bypassed my heater coil and gave my ecu a clean and now works as normal

sounds like it may be either a converter problem or u got some bad clutches in third in the case you need to go to a tranny shop.

just ram the shifter in your booty,.....duh
