Need to know how to change fuel filter 2002 kia sedona
If it is in the fuel tank, I wouldn't worry about it. It is way bigger than in line filters. Post why you think you need to change it. The filter is part of the fuel sending unit and you have to buy it to replace just the filter. $200 to $300. Not just a $10 filter.
Its in the fuel tank but the following link will explain how to change it

yes the crankshaft position sensor can cause all these problems at once. they are fairly simple to change and not a really expensive part if you want to check it though you can unplug it and hook a multimeter to it and check ohms as someone cranks the engine. should see a square wave as in 0 ohs to infinity ohms and repeat.
SOURCE: help me to locate the fuel filter and fuel pump in the kia sedona
start of at the gas tank look under neath there are some black lines running towards the engine follow it to a small gold color that ataches to the line you are following that is the filter the pump is in the gas tank you need to drop the straps at the tank to bring it down

I believe there is actually an access panel in front of the second row seat behind the drivers seat that you can access the top of the tank, fuel pump and possibly the fuel filter. Lift up the carpeting and check.
1. Remove the fuel tank cap to lower the fuel tank's internal pressure. 2. Locate access cover. 3. Remove the fuel pump & fuel filter assembly installation screws, then remove the fuel pump & fuel filter assembly from the fuel tank.

I got mixed info on replacing the filter vs. the whole pump. Majority of people said you could replace filter and Kia recommends replacing the filter, nothing mentioned about the pump. My dad purchased the filter for me, since they do sell them seperately, some time ago & I found the instructions on a KIA shop manual DVD I bought.
I removed the pump, disassembled it, replaced the filter, reassembled the pump & put it back in. My van started, ran for a couple minutes then died. Each time it started it repeated the same. Took the pump out double checked everything, replaced it only to get the same result.
Mechanic friend stopped by, tried a couple things & found no fuel coming to the engine from the pump. He says the increased flow thru the new filter essentially fried the pump. Says it happens all the time with the newer electronic pumps.
New pump is $280+ and so I am waiting to get paid to buy a new pump & my vehicle is sitting in the driveway in the meantime.
If it's virtually impossible to replace just the filter, why does KIA recommend it in their manuals and sell the filters seperately? Lost hours of my time, $$ for filter & now more $$$ for a pump.
there is an O-Ring ... if you did'nt transfer the O-Ring when you replaced the filter ... that would cause the lack of fuel... you didn't have to replace the pump
