This is a pressure sensor, telling the EFI what the absolute pressure at the manifold is. The sensor statistically is the issue, but so can connections along the circuit....

What does a code p1400 mean on a Mitsubishi longer sport 200 mean

Here's a link to your code P1400. http://www.autocodes.com/p1400_mitsubishi.html p1400 is your manifold differential sensor(MDP) and has nothing to do with your cat.

There is a small map sensor (MDP) that sits directly on top of your intake manifold. The sensor doesnt' seem to effect the car in any REAL way. I drove for 2 years with that code with no problems. I've just recently picked a used one from a guy who did a 6 bolt swap and the code is now gone. I didn't notice any difference by changing it though.

I think I paid 30 dollars shipped or something. New I believe they go for approximately 95 dollars US. Definately worth finding a used one if you can.

Where is the transmission relay at on a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer ES?

The transmission does not have a fuse, only a power-up relay located in the under hood fuse panel, near the front of the panel.

If there is a problem with this relay, your transmission will reduce to fail safe mode only. Fail safe is the mechanical-only control which leaves you with Park, Reverse and 3rd gear only, provided there are no internal failures.

What exactly is the problem you are having?

Scanner says that code given is manufacture spacific.......code p1400 what is this code please?

p1400- is Your MDP (Manifold Differential Pressure) Sensor is toast. It's not going to effect your drive ability. It's really only there to make sure your EGR valve is working properly (it helps display the readiness code for it). these are over $100.00 best bet is to see if you can get one at a local junk yard. good-day! this is for mitsubishi vehicles. you maybe able to find a cheap one on E-bay.

Either code 4000 or 1400 on 2002 ford ranger 4.0 ltr v6. the right code should equate to the egr valve. I have replaced the egr valve but check engine light comes on again after reset showing same code.

code p1400 is a DPF EGR sensor CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE detected. most likely is a problem with the wiring to the egr or dpfe sensor. the pinpoint tests for code p1400 instruct you to test all wiring before replaceing the egr or dpfe sensor

Get a p1400 code check engine light

P1400 - DPFE (Differential Pressure Feedback Electronic) Sensor circuit Low Voltage

The DPFE sensor is usually not hard to change. There are 2 small rubber hoses that run from the EGR tube to it...

17570fe.gif

Replace DPFE sensor, reset engine fault codes. The Ford one is a good one and rockauto.com carries Airtex. Sometimes I hear that this change always need replace EGR valve to delet all codes. Test it.

Good luck.
