My 2004 saturn vue just accelerated right off the road all by itself causing a serious accident and injuries... why did this happen?
I did not step on the gas pedal... it just took off like a rocket!

I am having the same problem with my Saturn Vue 2006. I have been told by a mechanic that the same engine in my vue is used in a Saab vehicle and the Saab vehicle has been recalled for this same problem. I am very concerned about the safety of driving Saturns with this problem. I have found blog after blog with people reporting the exact same issue in their Saturns. We need to unite and get GMC to recall these vehicles before someone is killed. Please share this with anyone who has something to add. Thank you!
I don't have the answer my friend BUT, the computer believes there's something wrong so it puts the vehicle into "Limp Home Mode". You say it isn't giving you a code to figure what's wrong but the computer memory will show it. No mistake. That's what it's there for. Take it to an Auto Zone parts and tell them what's going on. They will get the code for you and not charge you for it in hopes THEY will get the job of repairs and parts.
on the top there is an adjustment screws star head screws a local oil change place if you ask real nice will adjust them most for no charge dont forget to tip though
I had the same problem with my 2004 VUE 2wd. There were also some electrical issues like the turn signals randomly not working. I replaced the battery and now the tranny shifts smoothly and the acceleration is much improved. Also, no more electrical problems.
