P0341What the P0341 code means. P0341 is an OBD-II generic code that says the engine control module (ECM) detected the engine camshaft position sensor circuit is not within specifications. The sensor pulses do not correlate to the pulses of the crankshaft sensor.
Firstly what country are you in? if in the US the OBD codes are diffeernt from the UK but I know both issues regadless.
Normally in the UK the code is for the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor but I have known people to repair this fault and still have an engine light, normally removing the battery and then reconnectin it 1 hour later does the job " make sure you know your radio code though" also though sometimes you will find the fault is the ECM and you would have to have that programmed at a GM dealer normally thats Vauxhall in the UK.
Get back to me with your country and I will give you further info
Checkn Engine code means thet any sensor is send fault code; scanned the PCM to know excalty what fault code stored there; with this code number we could send additional details.
Check your paper work for an Area Frequency Code and 4 digit security code.
If your radio says "COdE" use the "preset buttons" as "numbers" and put the security code in, one number at a time. If it is the right number it will flash 3 times. If not try again.
342 is camshaft position sensor and 431 is your catalytic converter may be getting weak. If this was my car I would do the 342 code and see if the other code for the cat comes back. Tell the shop fix the camshaft sensor. If the sensor is bad your car can still run but its possible you could set a cat code because
of it but on the other hand you cannot set a camshaft code because of a bad cat.
P1768 MEAN TRANSMISSION RELAY ALWAYS OFF..WAS UNABLE TO FIND P1792..IF PROBLEM STARTED AFTER HEADS WERE DONE..LOOK CLOSELY AT AT ENGINE MAIN WIRING CONNECTORS AND GROUND CONNECTIONS THAT ARE ON ENGINE..LOOK FOR GROUND EYELETS NOT SECURED OR LOOSE..LOOK FOR ANY PINCHED WIRING AS WELL..MAKE SURE NO SPREAD TERMINALS IN CONNECTORS AS WELL..YOU CAN ALSO TRY SWAPPING ANOTHER RELAY IN PLACE OF TRANS CONTROL RELAY..MAKE SURE PART NUMBERS MATCH UP..
TCM(NGC)PIN 16 IS TRS T3 SENSE CIRCUIT..PIN 17 IS NOT USED...HAS TO DO WITH TRANS RANGE SENSOR..I DON'T THINK THIS CAUSING YOUR PROBLEM..
I just replaced mine on an '04 8.1 vortec. Ez fix. Pd $33 at Rockauto. The sensor in located on the front of the engine &slightly toward the drivers side. Unplug the electrical connector and remove the single nut (10mm). Evenly pull the sensor out from the block. Only use the force needed. Don't yank. Place a oil on the new sensors o ring & reinstall.
