I needto know how to replace a Crankshaft postion sensor A circuit

you need a proper scan tool and do a crankshaft camshaft corellation allignment.

located on the inner side,like bmw,on the flywheel support area,
just outside of the oil seal,

either crankshaft postion sensor camshaft postion sensor sometimes tho cars just have a crank sensor and it does the cam sensor job to

The computer is not getting a signal from the crank sensor.

If the engine was still running when the battery light came on , this sounds like an intermittant charging problem Have your battery and charging system professionally checked. It could also be caused bt the belt slipping, for instance if it was wet, or the steering was held on one of the stops, in a sharp turn. P0335 is indeed a crankshaft sensor code and should be checked and replaced if neccessary.Appears that there is an updated sensor, and it's very hard to plug in. Let me know if I can help furthur.

Hi, did you get this fixed? im having the same problem. heard it can be the key itself(shim key) data code 513. if you got this fixed let me know what you did.

What does that mean? This indicates that a problem was detected in the camshaft position sensor circuit. Since it says circuit, that means the problem could lie in any part of the circuit - the sensor itself, the wiring, or the PCM. Don't just replace the CPS (camshaft position sensor) and think that will definitely fix it.
Symptoms Symptoms can include:

A code P0340 could mean one or more of the following has happened:

• the camshaft position sensor may have failed

• Diagnose/replace the PCM as required

i would almost gues this would be a crankshaft postion sensor or camshaft sensor problem

down by your crank shaft pulley you will find a sensor with 2 wires ruining into it and 1 bolt holding the sensor in remove the bolt and twist and pull on the sensor then slide the new sensor in then reinstall bolt and wire
