Well about a month ago the check engine light came on...It was to a garage 3 times since; so far I replaced the oxygen sensor, cad converter, and spark plugs but the light remains on and problem is getting worse. While driving it feels like someone is applying the breaks, the car slows down and then will take off, and when I stop at lights the car will just stall out... Someone said to put in some fuel injector cleaner and already I have spent $80.00 on this stuff without fixing the problem. Please could anyone help me, thanks for any ideas you have to offer :)

My Son's 01 Sonata displayed the exact same systems and it was his catalytic converter. The metallic sounds were the converter guts disintegrating.

The turbine shaft speed sensor can cause this problem, It is also know as the transmission input shaft speed sensor. It will cause the transmission to **** and also stick in 3rd gear, which wound cause slow acceleration.

It sounds like you have either a lean or rich condition ocurring,could be exuast leak,vac leak,leaking fuel preasure regulator,cat convertor.At this point would go to dealer for diagnosis.
