Ford Mondeo 1.6 injection manf. 1997 internal air circulation & heating controls not working.
This is a vacuum operated system and when the control panel was removed for inspection it was found that the RHS selector switch was leaking badly.
I would like to get hold of the manufactures drawings as well as the sketches for the pneumatic circuits
The heating system works and is controllable but transferring the heat direction from the windshield [where it is fixed at the moment] to any other position is not possible.
On the same selector switch the air con lamp comes on by itself and is difficult to extinguish.

If you have the heater control up front on the floor or on defrost you should check that the heat is not blowing from under the d/p seats. If you move the heater control to dash you should have it coming out the top vents.
You could be having a coolant problem and need to check that first, If coolant level is normal you might have a thermostat going out. Both will cause your heat not to warm up at normal speed. If you need any thing let me know.
SOURCE: how to change headlight bulb on ford mondeo
Very easy, 2 or 3 minutes.
Remove radiator grille. 2 plastic fittings on top, quarter turn and lift out grille.
Remove complete headlight. Simply lift out 2 L shape retaining pins. Disconnect lead. Ease out complete headlamp unit.
Remove back of headlamp unit to access bulbs. Disconnect lead from bulb while bulb still held by clip. Then release clip to remove bulb.
Reverse process to fit.

It will be a cable that will be disconnected. or broken. Youll have to take some of the dash apart to see the cable and follow it to the switch. Dont be affraid to take some things apart and when you cant see, use a mirror to help you see behind the dash. work the control and watch the action. You will fix this dont get frustrated. good luck

ck to see if the mode vaccum actuator is getting vaccum, you will need to test actuator with a hand held vaccum gun, if actuator has failed you will need to replace, if actuator holds vaccum and it does not move the door your door may be out of position inside case or something could hold it locked in position. you will need to check door by hand to see if it moves freely.

Is the piston sticking in the caliper or is the caliper sticking on the outside slides preventing it from moving to the disc?
