Replacing with better engine

I owned a Hyundai Starex Diesel A/T 1997 model and need to replace the engine. Is it posible to change the engine with TURBO INTERCOOLER? And change the transmission to manual? I was driving in a hi-way at 110 k/hr, then i heard a different sound coming from the engine. Then suddenly the speed reduce by itself. So i full-over the car to check the engine. And there is a different sound its like TAK..TAK..TAK..TAK... with too much vibration, I felt scared i don't know what to do.. so i switch-off the engine right away. But when i tried to start the engine again it wont start. Then I called a mechanic and he said the engine is busted. I dont know yet if the engine need to overhaul or need a replacement. Which do think is better?

Replacing engine will be a better option after running over 125k miles. You can check some option that most car owner look for while engine replacement with a used or rebuilt engine with their economy criteria.
If you want to save money with less investment, you can buy a used engine else you can go for a rebuilt or new engine also.
To buy a used or rebuild motor, there are many resources available online where you can find any of carmakers engine like one I have visited last week is www.hiperformer.com/used_engines, you can find more similar site with Google search.

You can exchange it with one that is inner cooled and turboed But thats $1500.00 in parts plus the engine and labor. Your best bet is to find out what is wrong with your engine and rebuild it. As long as there are no major damages.
