We recently changed the timing chain of my BMW 740i m60 engine, and we dont know how to install and reset the timing chain, can you give us a diagram or step by step instruction in installing the timing chain, thank you.

The sadder thing is you have a 740. align both cam pulley per the book or where you marked them before you took the chain off. They're marked in relation to top dead center of the #1 cylinder and crankshaft.
Didn't do that beforehand.......uh oh. Tow it to dealer, bring one wheelbarrow full of fresh cash. Drive away in about 6 hours.
if you dont see any timing marks.remove the valve cover and spark plugs,on the number one piston,insert a thin stick until you feel the stik is bumping in to the piston.then slowly rotate the main pulley untill your stik reaches the top.thats top dead center.next,the camshaft,rotate thee camshaft till the cam lobes of the number four intake and exaust rockerarm reaches on top.now check the timing marks.
