What bolt is this your tightening? As long as you have applied the correct Torque setting and the correct number of Degrees you don't need to worry about the final torque reading on the bolt. For areas like cylinder head bolts the final reading will be slightly different for each bolt.

looks like mazda had a play with the top ends

..only page 70 has the block drawing
doesnt say ftbs or nm
being metric and mazda would assume nm
this is lined to the crank bearing cap bolts
83-88 ( 8.4-9.0 61-65)

Cylinder Head Torque in 2 steps [1st (50 - 60 ft-lbs), 2nd (80 - 90 ft-lbs)]

Since you didn't say which engine you have, I've pulled torque specs for 3 different engines. Also, since I can't include a diagram showing the relative locations of the numbered head-bolt locations, it would be a good idea for you to purchase a vehicle specific repair guide that will show this info.

Take particular note about the TTY (Torque to Yield) bolts used on 2 of the 3 engines shown. It is said that new head bolts MUST BE USED when head is replaced or re-installed to obtain the proper torque.

B2500 4 Cylinder
