Manual gearbox: check on right hand side of gearbox. There's an electrical switch(looks like large nut nut) with 2 wires coming out of it These wires have connectors toward the top of the gearbox, diconnect them.
The wires that this switch was connected to, conect them to each other. ie the reverse light switch has been bypassed. Put the vehicle in reverse. Turn on the ignition. DO NOT START. Check the reverse lights. If on the switch is faulty and needs to be replaced. If not measure the voltage across each of the wires and a good earth point. (Gearbox casing will do fine. ) One of the wires should read < 12V.
If 12V then

  • Globes are faulty(Replace)
  • wiring to the globes are faulty - unlikely -(This can be repaired by simply running a new wire to the globes)
If no 12V then the wiring to the fusebox is faulty. A quick fix is to run a new wire from the fusebox to the switch(Connect to fuse C-3, indicated as "turn, back")

Turn signals reverse lighs dont work need a wire diagram for this 1997 izuzu rdeo 4x4

Reverse light are operated by the range selector switch on the side of transmission aka. gear selector lever. A problem with the t/s lights would be in the turn signal combo switch.

I have a 2003 isuzu rodeo. Sometimes it is hard to put into reverse. I can usually get it to work in 1 or 2 tries. the abs light came on a couple of times. what could make this happen?

I do not think shifting gears ,putting your car in reverse has nothing to do whit whit the abs to come on and off ,my isuzu rodeo did the same thing and it was a dirty sensor ABS on front wheels , There is a ring on the inside of the front disc's that works together with the ABS sensor to send information to the car computer when braking ,and must have a distance of about 1/8 of an inch between ring and sensor ,,they must not touch ,what happens is that over time dirt starts to build between sensor and ring ,and ring and sensor begin to touch ,and if they do touch ABS light will start be on and off while driving ,,most of the time the problem is the sensor and not necessarly a bad sensor ,,only a durty sensor and dirty ring ,a broken or loose wire also will activate the ABS light ,,,and about car hard to put into reverse ,you'll probably need a new clutch ,,good luck

Hi I HAVE A ISUZU WIZZARD 3.0 WITH 4jx1 engine,it hard to started, diesel knock when it idle, engine light stay on with a code p10193 or p1393,already replace fuel filter, engine oil, train and renew a diesel...

Hi, you problem is the rail oil pressure sensor having a high voltage input -  P0193 code set . This will also cause your faults .
Change the sensor which is under the cam cover and the smaller of the two there and it will run ok .
You need the sensor set up on a tech II after fitting to run at its best.
